After his apperentship at Wim Mühlendyck´s workshop Rudi Stahl graduated at the State School of Ceramics in Höhr-Grenzhausen. Afterwards he worked in different factories and founded in 1940 his own workshop in Höhr-Grenzhausen. In 1942 he passed the masters examination and was later foreman of the pottery guild of Rheinland-Pfalz. Regardless of the orientation of the traditional Westerwald ceramic his in small series hand made products reveal especially in the form of design quite a significant relationship to contemporary modern trends.
Beautiful Rudi Stahl vase with structured beige and brown glaze. Probably made for the Hoechst company in the 70s or early 80s. Form number 7041 15. Height 15cm, diameter 18 cm. Excellent condition.
